Refund and cancellation policy

This policy explains what happens to your money if you cancel, downgrade, or are unhappy with Unnati. It is deliberately short, and it says no where the answer is no.

Last updated 9 September 2026

1. Try before you pay

Unnati has a free self-serve trial, and we will run a demonstration on your own documents before you commit. Please use both. A subscription is an annual commitment, and the trial exists so that you are not discovering a problem after you have paid.

2. Annual terms

Subscriptions run for a year. When you subscribe you are paying for that year, and the amount is not refundable simply because you stop using the service part way through.

You can decide not to renew at any time before the end of your term. Tell us in writing before the renewal date and the subscription will end at the end of the term, with no further charge.

3. Adding or removing a module during the year

Adding a module gives your team access immediately, and the amount is adjusted at your next renewal rather than invoiced mid-term.

Removing a module ends access when you ask, and the renewal amount drops accordingly. There is no refund or credit for the remaining part of the current term, because we do not pro-rate a plan change. This is the same rule in both directions and we apply it consistently.

4. When we will refund

If you were charged twice, or charged an amount that does not match your written order, tell us and we will refund the difference. This is a billing error, not a request for goodwill, and we will fix it.

If we are unable to provide the service for a prolonged period through our own fault, and we cannot put it right after you have told us in writing, we will refund a fair part of the fee for the affected period.

If you cancel within seven days of your first paid subscription starting, have not used the service for live business operations, and tell us in writing, we will refund that first payment less any transaction charges we have already incurred. This applies once, to a first subscription only.

5. When we will not refund

We do not refund because you have decided to use a different product, reduced your team, or stopped using modules you asked for.

We do not refund for a feature that we told you was not available or was on the roadmap. Our website lists what Unnati does not do, and we say the same thing on the call, precisely so that this conversation does not happen later.

We do not refund where a subscription has been terminated because of a material breach of our terms of service.

6. How to ask for a refund

Write to support@aavishkruti.com from the email address on your account, with your organisation name, the invoice number, the amount and what happened. We acknowledge within one working day.

If a refund is due we approve it within seven working days of agreeing the amount, and it is paid back to the same method you paid from. Your bank or payment provider then takes its own time, which is outside our control.

7. GST on refunds

Where we refund a subscription amount, the Goods and Services Tax charged on it is dealt with in the manner Indian tax law requires, normally through a credit note against the original invoice. Your accountant will need that credit note, so we issue it with the refund rather than afterwards.

8. Your data if you leave

Whatever the money position, your data is yours. You may export it through the Import and Export Data screen before your access ends, and we will give you a reasonable period to do so. Ask us if you need help getting it out.
