What Unnati connects to, and what it does not

Because Unnati runs fifteen modules on one platform, most of what other products call an integration is simply the next screen here. Five things genuinely connect to something outside Unnati. The honest list of what does not is further down, unsoftened.

Live connections

Five real connections

Each one is configured inside the product, in a screen we can name. None of them needs a developer.

WhatsApp, through SetuSend documents and notifications to customers and staff on WhatsApp, which is where most Indian businesses already talk to their customers.Organisation → Settings
Email, through SetuSend quotations, invoices, statements and system notifications from your own sending identity rather than a generic address.Organisation → Settings
Biometric attendance devicesPunches from a biometric machine flow into HRMS attendance, so there is no register to type up at the end of the month.HRMS → Biometric Attendance
NIC e-invoice and e-way billGenerate an IRN and an e-way bill from the sales invoice itself, without opening a separate portal and retyping the document.Accounting → Settings
Thermal and USB printersPrint receipts, kitchen tickets, delivery challans and labels on the hardware already sitting at your counter or dispatch desk.POS → Print Management
Setting them up

What each one takes

The work is a settings screen and a credential, not a project.

Connection

WhatsApp, through Setu

How it is set up

Configured once in organisation settings, using the Setu gateway. Message templates follow the approval process WhatsApp requires, so nothing is sent from an unapproved template.

For example: Set up in Organisation → Settings

Connection

Email, through Setu

How it is set up

Set up alongside WhatsApp in the same settings screen. Outgoing email is one direction: Unnati sends, and replies go to your normal mailbox.

For example: Set up in Organisation → Settings

Connection

Biometric attendance devices

How it is set up

Devices that speak the iclock protocol post to Unnati directly. Attendance verification then lets a supervisor review exceptions before payroll runs.

For example: Set up in HRMS → Biometric Attendance

Connection

NIC e-invoice and e-way bill

How it is set up

Credentials are configured once in accounting settings. The 24-hour IRN cancellation window is enforced in the product, and the permission to generate an IRN is separate from the permission to raise the invoice.

For example: Set up in Accounting → Settings

Connection

Thermal and USB printers

How it is set up

The desktop application pairs with a local print agent on the same machine. Print management inside Unnati decides which document goes to which printer.

For example: Set up in POS → Print Management

Moving data

Import and export instead of a connector

Where there is no live connection, there is a file. The Import and Export Data screen in the organisation module is how masters and opening balances come in from a spreadsheet, and how your own data goes out whenever you want it.

That is the route used for a move from Tally or from Excel. We sit with you and map the columns rather than sending a template and hoping — and it is your data throughout, exportable at any point in your subscription.

If it is not on this page, ask. A straight no today is worth more than a maybe that costs you six months.

Prefer to read first? The comparisons with Tally, Odoo, ERPNext and Zoho are written to be checked, not believed — each one names what the other product does better.
