Unnati is a cloud retail POS with a full ERP behind it. Cashier sessions, barcode billing, price lists per outlet, customer khata and loyalty all run at the counter, and every bill moves stock and posts its GST accounting entry as it is saved — so there is no day-end re-entry into a separate accounting package.
The counter and the back office, on one database.
Most retail billing software is quick at the counter and blind everywhere else. It does not know what is in the store room, it does not know what a regular customer owes on khata, and at night somebody re-types the day into Tally.
Unnati runs both ends on the same records. A bill reduces stock in the outlet it was sold from, applies the price list and offer that outlet is running, updates the customer’s khata, and posts its accounting entry as it is saved.

Stock on the system and stock on the shelf stopped agreeing months ago.
Every bill moves stock from the outlet it was sold at, and transfers between outlets are documents rather than phone calls. Cycle counts let you correct a section at a time instead of shutting for a full stock-take.
For example: Selling twelve units at the Demo City counter reduces that outlet’s stock immediately, and the reorder level flags the item before it runs out.
Regular customers buy on credit and it lives in a notebook.
A khata-style customer ledger keeps credit customers on the books, so outstanding is visible at the counter, on a statement and in the receivables report rather than in one person’s handwriting.
For example: A customer settles part of their outstanding at the counter; the receipt posts against their ledger and the balance is correct everywhere at once.
Discounts are given at the counter and nobody can reconcile them.
Coupons, offers, loyalty earning rules and customer discount categories are configured centrally, so a cashier applies an approved scheme rather than a private one. Refund reasons come from a fixed list, not free text.
For example: The outlet report shows the discount split by scheme rather than as one unexplained lump at the bottom.

What Unnati does not do here yet
Offline billing and a mobile POS are on the roadmap. The counter needs a working internet connection today, so plan a backup connection for outlets where the line is unreliable. The Electron desktop app handles USB and thermal printing at the counter.
