A window at the counter, and printing that works

The same Unnati as the browser, in its own window on Windows, macOS and Linux — with a local print agent so receipts, kitchen tickets, challans and labels print on the hardware already sitting at your counter.

Why desktop

Why a desktop application at all

Six reasons, and none of them is that a desktop build looks serious. Each one is a job a browser does badly.

Printing that worksA browser cannot drive a USB thermal printer properly. The desktop build talks to a local print agent on the same machine, so a receipt, a KOT or a challan prints on the hardware you already own.
A counter that stays openAt a POS counter or a dispatch desk the application is open all day. A dedicated window with no address bar, no tab shuffling and no accidental navigation is better for that job.
The same productThe same Unnati you use in the browser, with the same modules, the same permissions and the same data. There is nothing to learn twice.
Windows, macOS and LinuxOne installer per platform, built from the same codebase. Most Indian counters run Windows, but the Mac and Linux builds exist and are supported.
Sensible for shared machinesA shared counter machine with the application installed is easier to lock down than a browser with a dozen tabs and somebody else’s login still signed in.
Print management insideWhich document goes to which printer is a setting in the product, not a habit in somebody’s head — so the kitchen ticket and the customer bill never swap places.
Printing

Where local printing earns its keep

Four everyday jobs that decide whether a counter runs smoothly or somebody walks to the office with a piece of paper.

The job

Restaurant KOT to the kitchen printer

What happens

Print management decides which document goes to which printer, so the kitchen ticket and the customer bill do not come out of the same machine.

The job

Counter receipts on a thermal roll

What happens

Sale-out billing prints on the roll printer at the counter without a print dialog on every bill.

The job

Delivery challan and invoice at dispatch

What happens

A dispatch desk prints the challan and the tax invoice on a normal printer while the same order is being updated from a phone in the godown.

The job

Labels and stock documents in the store

What happens

Goods receipt and inward stock paperwork prints where the material is, not where the office is.

Getting it

How to get the installer

There is deliberately no download button here yet. A button that serves an unsigned or missing file is worse than no button, so the installers come from the onboarding team until the signed Windows build and the notarised macOS build are hosted publicly.

Existing customers: ask support or your onboarding contact for the current build for your platform. Still evaluating: we will run the desktop application, print agent and a real printer during your demonstration.

Start where you are

Bring your printer model

We will print a real KOT and a real challan on the call, on the hardware you already own.
